How In-Person Coaching Will Work
What will your sessions look like?
Every session is built around you. We’ll start with a warm-up, move into the main lifts or movements, hit conditioning, and finish with a cool-down, mobility, or stretching. I’ll coach you through every step, giving immediate feedback so you learn faster, progress quicker, and stay safe.
How do you personalize the plan?
The first session is a full workout where I see how you move, spot any leaks in the chain, and get a baseline. From there, your plan is completely individualized to your fitness level and abilities. Nothing is random. You’ll always know why we’re doing what we’re doing.
How long are the sessions?
Most sessions run about an hour, but if we need to make it 30 or 45 minutes, we’ll adjust. Some people train once a week, others train up to five times. It’s flexible and built around your schedule and goals.
How do we handle scheduling and tracking?
We’ll use my coaching app. You’ll be able to see workouts ahead of time, log your lifts and conditioning, and connect wearables if you want. It also tracks progress across strength numbers, conditioning benchmarks, body composition, measurements, and even progress photos if you want to include them. We’ll monitor the metrics that make sense for your goals.
Is nutrition/behavior change coaching included?
My full nutrition and behavior change process is not included. That’s an add-on service. While we’re on the gym floor, you’re welcome to ask me any questions, and I’ll be happy to answer. If you’d like to explore nutrition coaching in more depth, we can talk about that separately.
What results should you expect?
Early results are mainly neurological and identity-based. Your brain and muscles learn to communicate better, which is why you’ll often feel stronger quickly. You’ll also be building the skill of movement. From there, progress depends on many factors. The more time and reps you invest, the more you’ll get back. You’ll also start reinforcing the identity of someone who trains consistently, which cements the habit into who you are.
Do you need to be fit before you start?
No. This is for anyone who’s willing to show up and do their best. I work with beginners who’ve never lifted before as well as more seasoned individuals preparing for competitions or races. If you have injuries or limitations, I’ll meet you where you are and adjust. I can also coordinate with your doctor or PT to make sure you’re fully supported.
What’s your coaching style?
This isn’t a dictatorship. It’s a collaboration. My goal is to make training something you enjoy and want to come back to. I’m here to improve your relationship with the gym, keep you safe, and move you closer to your goals. I’m not here to beat you down for the sake of looking tough. I’m here to help you solve problems, close the gap between where you are and where you want to be, and provide you with the tools to get the job done.

Calvin was an amazing coach. He taught me much more than I could have learned by simply watching YouTube videos. He was completely in depth with me on a personal level that helped open my eyes and start a transformation for me. He is incredibly smart with the chemical and physical makeup of the body, and he has great analogies to communicate those things to somebody who doesn't understand quite how the body works. So to start with, I walked him through my daily life for a while. I logged what I was eating for him, sent him pictures of my meals and he got a baseline for me before we started anything. That gave him information to put together a plan for me. It was very detailed, and he adjusted it accordingly as time went on, and pretty soon we were rocking and rolling! I feel incredible about myself, I feel like I have more energy, I feel motivated, and I love the fact that I can see the results!
